Below normal temperatures across western North America
October 5, 2018, 5:14 am
We are not alone in southeast Saskatchewan and southwest Manitoba facing temperatures that are far below normal
Much of western North America is facing temperatures far below normal, while eastern parts of north America have temperatures far above normal.
Temperatures in the Moosomin area have been 10-12 degrees below normal since the beginning of September. Normal highs for early October should be 12 degrees above zero.
While the NOAA 6-10 day outlook shows 90 per cent below normal in western North America, it shows 90 per cent above normal on the East Coast -- highs will be in the upper 20s in New York later this week.
The 90 below and 90 above have showed on the same map only once before in the last 10 years.
