Fatal house fire at Inglis

On December 9, 2018, at 12:45 am, Prairie Mountain RCMP received a report of a house fire approximately 10 km north of Inglis, MB, in the RM of Riding Mountain West.
Officers and volunteer firefighters arrived on scene and located two male residents, ages 74 and 43, who had left the house safely.
Emergency personnel were advised that a 29-year-old male was unaccounted for and was believed to be in the garage – which was fully engulfed in flames.
Once the fire was extinguished, a search of the garage was conducted by the Office of the Fire Commissioner and the body of the 29-year-old male was located.
The fire and death appear to be non-criminal in nature.
The RCMP and the Office of the Fire Commissioner continue to investigate.
