A man accused of second-degree murder after a home invasion Friday night in Weyburn made his first court appearance Tuesday.

Keegan Muxlow attended provincial court presided over by Justice F.J. Kovach.

Muxlow, Dominick Hawke and William McLeod were all allegedly involved in a fight during an armed home invasion Friday night, which left 18-year-old Nathan Hutt dead.

Weyburn police have said they believe Muxlow, who was inside the house at the time, was targeted in the home invasion and it was not random.

An altercation allegedly broke out between all four men and shots were fired.

Hutt died of his injuries in hospital in Weyburn on Saturday.

Along with the murder charge, Muxlow faces several weapons charges.

He’s due back in Weyburn provincial court on Jan. 22.

Hawkes and McLeod are charged with break-and-enter, assault, wearing disguises during a crime and possession of weapons.

They are also set to appear in court again on Jan. 22.

All three men are being held in custody until then.
