Yorkton RCMP have tracked down the vehicle spotted in Yorkton this morning that witnesses believed may have contained the suspects in three homicides in BC and determined the vehicle occupants ARE NOT connected in any way to the murder investigation in BC.

Meanwhile the Manitoba RCMP continues to focus its efforts on Gillam, where there was a reported sighting of the suspects Monday afternoon.

"The Manitoba RCMP continues to work with BC RCMP and share information in relation to locating Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky, the two suspects connected to investigations in northern British Columbia." Manitoba RCMP said this morning.

A number of resources have been sent to the Gillam area to assist in this investigation.
Manitoba RCMP has also set up an informational check-stop at the intersection of PR 280 and PR 290, the road leading into Gillam.

“We have received numerous tips and information throughout the evening, and are continuing to ask for the public’s assistance” said Cpl. Julie Courchaine of the Manitoba RCMP.

“If you see something suspicious, call police. We are also reminding everyone that these suspects should not be approached if seen and to call 911 or your local police immediately.”

Both suspects are described as six feet four inches tall and 169 pounds.
