After an extensive air and ground search in southeast Saskatchewan, 22-year-old Zach Zentner has been found safe and sound, north of Bangor.

Zentner disappeared on his side by side Saturday at a mud bogging event called Trucks Gone Wild at the Filthy Redneck Country Club (FRCC) located near Waldron, Sask.

Melville RCMP, civilian SAR, CASARA, family members and volunteers were involved in the search.

People were worried about him because Zach is a paraplegic and has a specially set up side by side that he can drive using hand controls.

Zachary is paralyzed from the chest down. He requires the usage of a wheel chair to move around. He did not have it with him while driving his ATV. Searchers were worried he would not be mobile if his vehicle broke down in a remote area.

While his backpack with wallet and other things were also found at the park, Zach did have his phone, which ultimately saved him.

Zach did not run out of gas, he ultimately got caught up on deadfall trees north of Bangor in bush and could not move.

While search parties were out looking for him, he called 911 himself and the police tracked him to his location.

Zach is safe and in Melville hospital.
