The Rolling Barrage, a cross country motorcycle ride to raise awareness of, and support for treatment of PTSD and OSI, will be rolling into Moosomin this Friday, August 16.

There will be a fundraising barbecue with burgers and drinks at the Borderland Co-op C-Store from 11:30 am to 1 pm that day. Ruth Ireland Desjarlais will provide entertainment, and the Baptist Youth Group is volunteering at the event. The event to welcome the riders and encourage the public to come out is being organized by Moosomin’s Mary McGonigal.

Motorcycle riders can ride along with the Rolling Barrage through the area if they want.

This is the third year that the Rolling Barrage will stop in Moosomin. The Rolling Barrage is organized by an organization known as Military Minds, which provides treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, supports veterans and serving members, and aims to conquer the stigma of combat PTSD.

Last year the barbecue in Moosomin raised $1,150 for the Military Minds charity.
