All nine candidates for Moosomin town council have been invited and say they plan to attend a municipal election candidate forum Tuesday in Moosomin.

The nine candidates are vying for six council positions. The election is set for Oct. 26.

The candidate forum is set for 7 pm Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the MCC Centre.

The Moosomin Chamber of Commerce is planning the candidate forum to give the public a chance to hear from town council candidates and raise issues of concern.

Nine candidates are running for six positions on Moosomin town council—Chris Davidson, Ron Fisk, Murray Gray, Lane McGonigal, Joe Matichuk, Jason Miller, Teddi Taylor, Garry Towler, and Heather Truman.

Voters will go to the polls Oct. 26 to select the next town council.

Each candidate will make an opening statement, there will be an opportunity for questions from the public, and each candidate will make a brief closing statement.

Mayor Larry Tomlinson has been re-elected mayor by acclamation as no one else submitted a nomination for the position, but he will start off the meeting by speaking on what council has done over the last four years, and his priorities for the next four years.
Former RM of Moosomin Reeve and SARM president Sinc Harrison will moderate the candidate forum.
