This Friday will be the harvest day for Moosomin's Harvest of Hope, a growing project for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.

The public is invited to the Harvest Lunch that will be served on the field seven miles north of Moosomin on Highway 8, just south of the correction line.

In first 4 years of Harvest of Hope, local farmers grew two crops of canola and two of wheat. To-date the project has been able to generate around $200,000 in proceeds that we were able to send in to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.

With the partnerships with the Canadian Government, this revenue can get leveraged up to 4:1, with the money being used to feed hungry people all over the world.

For 2017, the group of local farmers grown wheat again and are looking to close out their 5-year anniversary with another successful project.
