Rocanville events going rain or shine on Saturday

Organizers of Rocanville's Canada 150 celebrations this Saturday say the events will go rain or shine, as the forecast is calling for some rain on Saturday. Because of that, some events have been moved.

There are many events set for Saturday:

The parade is a go rain or shine! It will only be cancelled if it is thundering or lightening. Andrea Dunn with Borderland Coop is in charge of this event. Parade Marshalling is at 9am and the parade is set to start at 9:30am.

Market at the Museum – from 10am-2pm. Entertainment will be by the Kelly Family. Lunch will be sponsored by TD Bank and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #020.

Slo-Pitch Tournament – will be held at the Yellow diamond with beer gardens.

2nd Annual Joe Decorby Memorial Show and Shine – The event has been moved inside to the Rocanville Skating Rink. Concession will be by Blueberry Kitchen from 12pm-4pm. Items include: pizza, taco in a bag, pie, drinks, etc. Prizes for winning participant entries and penny arcade. Help us support the Rocanville Community Playground Committee. Come on out and have a look at some really cool cars!

Splash and Dash – will go rain or shine. Last minute entries are welcome!! Come on out and get active!!

Pulled Pork Supper - will be held at the PotashCorp Rocanville Community Hall. Doors open at 4:30pm. Supper is from 5pm-7pm. Supper tickets will be available only at the door. Only 200 tickets will be available. Adults are $12 and kids 12 and under are $8. Entertainment will be provided by the Kelly Family. 50/50 and Canada prize packages will be up for grabs!

Kids Zone - is from 7pm-9:30pm behind the PotashCorp Rocanville Community Hall. If it rains it will be moved into the Skating Rink. Activities include face painting, glitter tattoos, bounce tents, petting zoo, pottery painting, and mini golf. Purchase a wrist band for $5 for unlimited play!

Concession – from 8pm-10pm behind the Curling Rink. Glow necklaces, popcorn, cotton candy, and drinks will be available. If it rains this will be moved into the skating rink with the kids zone.

Fireworks by Paradise Fireworks – will be held at the ball diamonds at 10:30pm. If the weather does not cooperate they will be held on Sunday, June 18th at 10:30pm.
