Marjorie Hastings (nee Banin), wife of the late Lloyd Hastings, was born May 16, 1927 near Wapella, Sask. and passed away in Regina, Sask. on April 5, 2017.
She was the eldest daughter of the late Jim and Emily Banin (nee Stone). Marjorie received her education at Cranbrook School, north of Wapella and Wapella High School.
She taught school at Prairie Hill, south of Glenavon, old Rocanville and New Hastings.
In 1955 she married Lloyd Hastings and they moved to Ucluelet, B.C.—returning a few years later and settled in Regina. She has a son Harvey and a daughter Marlene who both live in Regina.
Interment of her ashes will take place in a private graveside service at the the South Cemetery in Moosomin, Sask. at a later date.
