Leslie passed away at Deerview Lodge, Wawota on April 1, 2018 at the age of 89 years with his family at his side.

He was chosen to continue his farming career in heaven.

Leslie is survived by his wife Vera (Bujaczek), daughter Sharon (Doug) Moore—Jordan, Megan (Charles), Cody and son Jeff (Maureen)—Cassondra, Kirsten, Mariah and son Cameron—Christopher: brother Ed (Ilene), Sisters-in-law Betty Roy, Jean Roy, Florence Roy, Mildred Johnson, Helen Jackson, Norma Pahkala, Susan Patzwald and brother-in-law Blair Polvi. He also will be remembered by Vera’s children, Ron, Noreen (Tim) and Rebecca, as well as Vera’s grandchildren Kim (Jon), Tracy (Dylan), Avree (Dustin), Matthew (Kim), Kevin (Ally), Jodi and Scott.

He was predeceased by his first wife Miriam Polvi, parents David and Mary Roy, brothers Art, Bruce and John Roy.

Leslie grew up on the farm two miles west of Moosomin.

In l956 Leslie married Miriam Polvi from the Convent Creek District north of Wapella, Sask. Miriam was a nurse. They farmed at first on the McKinnon farm, then in l961 moved to the Stanley Brown farm south of Red Jacket.

Leslie served on the Moosomin Co-op Board for l4 years. He also belonged to the Farmers Union, Red Jacket and Moosomin Wheat Pool, Agricultural Committee for RM of Martin and the District 5 Agriculture Board.

In l982 the Mainline singles Club was formed. Dad attended many dances in different towns. It was through this club that Dad met Vera Bujaczek (Dzioba) and they were married July 22, l989. Their travels took them to Hawaii, Switzerland, Austria, Arizona and several trips to B.C. They attended many dances through the Kipling Winter Dance Club. Leslie liked to curl and play pool in the winters.

A funeral service will be held on May 5, 2018 at 2 pm at Carscaddens Funeral Home, 614 Birtle Street, Moosomin, Saskatchewan.
