Grace Evelyn Harrison was born on December 10, 1927. Working on the Harrison family farm instilled a lifelong, strong work ethic.

In 1949, Grace married Charles Williamson and they had four boys Gary, Floyd, Kelvin and Daryl. They farmed for over 35 years in the Carnoustie district. Even in her last weeks, she was inquiring on how the boys were making out with harvest, what they were combining and how the crops were fairing, although, Grace’s real career was a homemaker. Anyone that knew her, knew how particular she was about the cleanliness of her home and yard. She kept busy with housework, cutting the hedge, raking leaves, and gardening. Grace also enjoyed playing cards, lottery tickets, and bingo, watching curling, travelling to Scotland, camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Grace moved to the lodge in 2013 and many days of bingo and happy hours were enjoyed.

In April, she moved to long term care, and despite the excellent care, there was still no place like home.
She died on September 10, 2018 at 90 years old. Grace was predeceased by her husband Charlie, grandson Jarvis, and all of her 13 siblings. Grace leaves to mourn her sons and their families: Gary, Floyd (Heather), Kelvin (Shelley), Daryl (Sherry), Grandchildren: Denise (Mark), Greg, Robert (Carly), Jason (Brittany), Kory, Kelli (Aaron), Kris, Kaitlyn (Joe), Tanille (John), Brenda (Alex), 12 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law: Myrna Harrison, Darlene Harrison, Audrey Higgins and Rhoda Jacobs, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Southeast Integrated Care Centre or the Carnoustie Cemetery Fund.
