Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on January 4, 2020, Elizabeth “Betty” Hayes of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away. Betty was born April 15, 1932 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Betty’s mom Margaret Keith Bonar was from NWT (Saskatchewan) and Betty’s dad Daniel William Pilsworth was from Moosomin, Saskatchewan. Betty’s family was from Moosomin, Saskatchewan. Betty’s love of her life was Bill Hayes who passed away Decemeber 20, 2016. They will be together now at Green Acres Cemetery. They were married for 67 years.
Betty is survived by her sons Greg and Terry, cherished Granddaughter Andrea and Great Granddaughter Destiney, sister in law Tiny Winn and Helen Kropla, her friend and neighbor for 60 years.
Betty was a music lover and loved hearing Bill play trumpet. He made her so happy. Betty loved her dogs, they were her best friends and she had many, Peanut being the last.
Betty loved going to the cottage at Winnipeg Beach (Ponemah), spending time with her family and feeding all of the birds. Betty worked at Eatons, Federated Fine Foods (Old Dutch) and volunteered at CNIB in her younger years.
Private family service and burial will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery.
She was very much loved and will be missed forever.
