Vera Caroline Roy July 25, 1933– October 9, 2020
On October 9, 2020, after her battle with cancer, Vera Caroline Roy passed peacefully in Grace Hospice, Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 87.

Vera is survived by her children, Rebecca Michaels, Ronald Bujaczek, and Noreen (Tim) Bourque, stepchildren, Jeff (Maureen) Roy, Sharon (Doug) Moore and Cameron Roy, grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and her sister, Susan Patzwald. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Sam Dzioba, sister, Joyce Johnston and husbands Theodore Bujaczek and Leslie Roy.

Vera was born July 25, 1933 and grew up in Bemersyde, Saskatchewan. Her early education was at Bemersyde School and by correspondence. She stayed at the dormitory and graduated from Corning High School. Vera then started work at Kipling Hospital and Dr. Eaton’s office. After marrying Ted, December 1, 1951, she worked for a while before moving to the farm 3 miles west of town. Three children were born. In 1964, the family moved to Kipling and Vera returned to work in the hospital lab and x-ray department. In 1975, she took the certified combined technologist course at Kelsey Institute in Saskatoon. Vera resumed working at Kipling Hospital until she retired in 1996.

After Ted passed , Vera met Leslie Roy and they married July 22, 1989.

Vera was actively involved in the CWL, the Health Care Auxiliary, and ministerial duties, the Winter Dance Club, Palliative Care and Parish Council. She was a lay person and played organ for church services. Her hobbies included playing the organ, gardening and flowers, messing with the computer, embroidery, reading, doing crosswords, walking, cross-country skiing, dancing and going on trips.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled. Flowers are most gratefully declined.
