Daisy Gertrude Feader March 27, 1921- August 3, 2020

Daisy Gertrude Feader passed away August 3, 2020 at the age of 99.

She was born in Mouchy Le Chatel, France in 1921 and moved with her family to England in 1934.

She married Jim Feader at the end of WW2 and came to Canada by ship with the other War Brides once travel was allowed. She landed in Halifax and took the train to Moosomin, Saskatchewan. Wow…what a culture shock!

She persevered, learned to play in the snow and was an active member of the Legion Auxiliary Ladies, and the Royal Purple. She was a Cub Scout Leader, she opened and operated a Daycare in her home, and later held the Activity Director position at the Pioneer Lodge.

Daisy loved to go camping...first we had a tent trailer, then upgraded to a pull-behind camper and then into a motor home. Later in life she took some lessons and proved to be very proficient at painting. Daisy was actually pretty proficient at whatever she put her hands to.

Daisy was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1990 and shortly after that moved to Calgary, Alta. She moved to Salmon Arm, B.C. in 2014 to be near her daughter Tanya, grandson Jesse, his wife Angela and two great-grandsons Colt and Gavin. Her son Tim lives in Bentley, Alta. and granddaughter Danielle in Calgary, Alta.
