Man charged with manslaughter for Oak Lake Beach stabbing

55-year-old man was stabbed to death Friday night

RCMP have charged 27 year old Nolan Christianson with Manslaughter for his involvement in the death of a 55-year-old man from Oak Lake Beach Friday night.

Christianson was arrested a short time after the stabbing.

Last Friday at approximately 6:50 pm, Westman and Blue Hills RCMP were dispatched to a report of a stabbing on the Main Road in Oak Lake Beach.

When police arrived, a 55-year-old man from Oak Lake Beach, was located suffering from very serious injuries. He was later declared deceased on scene.

The suspect, Nolan Christianson, was identified and arrested a short time later in Souris.

The investigation continues, with assistance of RCMP Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services.

Police are not looking for any other suspects.

Christianson remains in custody.
