Indian Head RCMP issued a news release last week about a person posing as a SaskPower employee going to a home in Montmartre in a suspected scam.
RCMP say the incident wasn't a scam at all, but an actual SaskPower employee was at the home for a legitimate reason.
"On September 23, 2019, a media release was sent out regarding a possible scam involving Saskpower employees in Montmartre on September 3, 2019," say RCMP.
"Since this information was released to the public, it has been confirmed that the Saskpower employee was legitimate and was at the residence in Montmartre for legitimate Saskpower business. This also is a good reminder for people to ask for identification whenever they are unsure about somebody's purpose for being at their residence or contacting them."
