A snowfall warning has been issued for southeast Saskatchewan.

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.

Heavy snow will move into the southeastern corner of Saskatchewan late this evening as the edge of a major storm system brushes the area.

Areas nearest the Manitoba border as well as higher terrain around Moose Mountain Provincial Park will see 10 to 15 cm before the snow tapers off late Saturday afternoon.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Meanwhile heavy snow continues in Manitoba, and the Trans-Canada Highway is closed east of Brandon.
