Town approves Highway 8 bypass agreement

At their regular meeting Wednesday, Moosomin Town Council passed a motion to enter into an agreement with Sask Highways for the town to contribute $10,000 towards a Highway 8 bypass engineering study.
The town and RM of Moosomin are both contributing to the cost of the study, which will look at options for building a truck bypass around Moosomin to get truck traffic off of Main Street.
The town was presented with the agreement with Sask Highways earlier, but requested that the agreement be reworded more in line with an engineering study than with a construction project before passing a motion to approve the agreement.
