After a life well lived Mary passed away at age 100 years on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Assiniboine Centre, Brandon. Mary was a much-loved and dear “Mother” to Russ Carefoot and beloved aunt of Kathy Feader and many other special nieces and nephews.

Mary was born October 16, 1916 on the home farm near Fleming, Sask. She was the younger daughter of Colin and Edith (nee Binion) Feader and was a loving sister to George, Agnes, Brainard, David, Wesley and Bryce.

Mary attended Stanley district school. After obtaining her Grade 11, she worked for several families as a home help.

Mary and Gordon loved to garden, travel, golf, curl, attend ball games; they did everything together. Mary and Gordon were true life partners for 59 years.

Mary was very involved in her community belonging to the U.C.W., teaching crafts, visiting and playing music for seniors, and was always ready to help her family and neighbors. She loved hosting family and friends for meals, music and games.

For the past three years Mary resided at Victoria Landing Seniors’ Residence in Brandon to be closer to family. Mary made many new friends there and enjoyed the social activities.

She will be remembered forever by Russ (Pauline) Carefoot, and nieces and nephews: Kathy Feader, Nelson Feader, Irving (Irene) Feader, Shirley (Cyril) Hood, Marie (Carl) Dyck, Carol (Vern) Bryant, Richard Feader, Wilbur (Vonda) Feader, Susan Bihun, Judy (Randy) Dove, Connie Feader, Lindsay Blixhavn, Lois (Jack) Flett, Lynda (Roy) Draper, Beth (Don) Roberts, Murray (Alda) Leslie, Allan (Evelyn) Osborne, Kay (Jim) Lahoda, Maizie (Ken) Noto, Margaret (Barry) Brown; and other family and close friends.
