On April 22, Moosomin Pharmasave made a $15,000 donation to Playfair Daycare for the new 90-spot daycare building under construction in Moosomin.

“As a working mom, leaving my kids in someone else’s care is never easy,” says Brittany Glasser with Moosomin Pharmasave.

“It really does feel like leaving a little piece of your heart behind each time you walk out the door.

“That’s why I’m so incredibly grateful for Playfair Daycare. I don’t just know my children are safe—I know they’re cared for, encouraged, and nurtured by such an amazing team.

“Seeing this new daycare come to life is so meaningful, not just for families like mine, but for the future of Moosomin. Every parent should have access to affordable, high-quality childcare, and this space is going to make such a difference for so many.

“Supporting initiatives like this is about lifting up families, supporting one another, and building a stronger community for our kids to grow up in.”

The new daycare is a second building for Playfair Daycare that will add 90 spots to the town’s already existing daycare building, giving the town a total of 162 daycare spots once completed.

The new daycare is on target to open in early 2027.

The daycare committee says they still need to raise $2.2 million to cover the cost of the new building and are ramping up their fundraising initiatives in the coming months in order to reach their fundraising target.
