Triple homicide at McCreary, Manitoba

Update - Ste Rose du Lac RCMP investigate triple homicide

The Manitoba RCMP can now provide an updated timeline of events that occurred in the RM of McCreary on August 16, 2024.

Investigators with RCMP Major Crime Services believe that on August 16, 2024, at approximately 1:20 am, Marlon Glover, a 41-year-old male, forcibly entered the residence of the 37-year-old female.

This forcible entry was targeted as the male and female were known to each other through a previous relationship.

She was able to escape and hide in a wooded area.

The 41-year-old male left the residence and went to a nearby home. He then killed the 66-year-old female, 65-year-old male and 35-year-old male. These were the parents and brother of the female.

He left the residence in his vehicle, stopped on the side of the road 84 West, and died from a self-inflicted gun shot wound.

At approximately 12:40 pm, the female was safely located and taken to hospital as a precaution.

The family has requested privacy at this time.

Manitoba RCMP will be providing information relating to homicides that occurred earlier in the day on August 16 near McCreary, Manitoba.

There is currently a large police presence due to an ongoing investigation near the town of McCreary, Manitoba. Ste Rose du Lac RCMP, along with Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, are on scene at this time.

There is no threat to the public.
