New pharmacy to open in November

Kari Meyers shared an update on the new pharmacy that is soon to open in Moosomin At the Chamber of Commerce meeting on Tuesday, October 22.
Kari Meyers, who grew up in Moosomin and graduated from McNaughton High School, said she is thrilled to announce the opening of her new Pharmacy in town.
After pursuing her pharmacy studies at the University of Saskatchewan, Meyers gained diverse experience working in various locations, including Medicine Hat and Golden, B.C., where she played a crucial role in launching a pharmacy from the ground up.
She later moved back to Moosomin with her family and began working at Rexall, which was later sold to RX Pharmacies.
With RX Pharmacies having expanded significantly over the last few years, to over 200 locations across Canada, Meyers says that her new business will allow her to focus on community needs and support, which is her primary goal.
Meyers says she has always had the idea of starting her own pharmacy in the back of her mind and her husbasnd gave her the encouragement she needed to make it happen.
“I have always had the inclination to own a pharmacy, but never really had the means to do it. My husband has given me a huge push.”
Meyers hopes that a new pharmacy will create a positive impact locally.
“I want to be part of the community, I want to be able to donate to something in the community, and the large chain pharmacies just didn’t have that philosophy anymore, so I thought this is something I could do on my own.”
“I love to shop and support local businesses, and as a business owner, I’ll be able to support local even more.”
The planned opening date is set for November 13th, pending inspections and approval from the College of Pharmacy.
Kari is eager to get back to doing what she loves, “I am super excited to be open and be a pharmacist again.”
Meyers is working hard to ensure everything looks perfect for the grand opening.
She aims to create a welcoming space that meets all regulatory requirements, and is community oriented.
