Henry Patten Fowler passed away peacefully on December l4, 2022 at DeerView Lodge in Wawota, Saskatchewan in his 95th year.

Henry was born on April 7, 1928 to Jim and Rosie Fowler, the second oldest son of five boys.

Henry received his education at Plainsville School District.

He moved with his parents and siblings to a farm at Mair, Saskatchewan.

Henry worked at many jobs, a hired man, rink caretaker, and Searle Elevator Agent.

His main passions were being a carpenter and a mixed farmer. He loved being around his farm animals and pets.

Henry loved watching sports and playing softball and curling. He also coached his son’s hockey teams.

On November 7, 1953 he married the love of his life, Joan Oliver, of Fairlight. Henry and Joan farmed south of Ryerson, Saskatchewan. They had five children. Henry was a loving family man.

Henry was a quiet and humble man with a friendly demeanor. He loved to tease and had an affectionate laugh.

He would sit and watch his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with a twinkle in his eye. He will be greatly missed.

Henry is survived by his wife of 69 years, Joan and their five children Donnie (Dana) Fowler, Diane (Jim) Bowey, Darlene (Doug) Lott, Daryl (Diane) Fowler, Doug (Leslie) Fowler, his grandchildren Bryn and Abbi Fowler, Pam (Jamie) Jamieson, Kayla (Kit) Lawrence, Kimberley (Mark) Moore, Terry Lott, Corey (Jenna) Lott, Daniel Fowler, Ben (Emiliè) Fowler, Zach (Morgan) Fowler, Anna (Alex) Fowler, Cassie (Steven) Fowler and Reece Fowler, his great-grandchildren Dyllan and Cody Lawrence, Lennox and Walker Moore, Lyla and Julianna Lott, Ivy Fowler and Thomas and Samuel Fowler, sisters-in-law Doreen Fowler, Myra Fowler and Jeannine Eisler, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Henry was predeceased by his parents Jim and Rosie Fowler, in laws Jim and Evelina Oliver, son-in-law and granddaughter Fred and Carla Adair, brothers Eddie, Frank, Eldon and Howard, sister-in-law Evelyn Fowler, as well as brother and sister-in-law Ronnie and Gloria Oliver.

The family would like to thank Dr. Van, the South East Integrated Care Centre and Deer View Lodge for the compassion and care received by Henry and his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deer View Lodge Residents Comfort Fund in Henry’s memory.

A private family burial will be held in June at Fairlight Cemetery.
