
Garry Russell Budd was born May 23, 1949, to Alvin and Margaret (Hall) Budd in Lestock, Saskatchewan. He was the oldest of seven children.
Garry started school in Wishart, Saskatchewan. In 1956, when Garry was 7 years old, the family moved to Port Coquitlam, B.C.
Garry moved back to Saskatchewan in 1971 to help his uncles on the family farm near Kelliher. He started with the Co-op at Kelliher in 1972.
On October 11, 1975, Garry married Linda Rogers. They lived in Kelliher while Garry worked at the Kelliher Co-op. In 1990 Garry and his family moved to Rocanville where Garry worked for Borderland Co-op, retiring in 2007.
After retiring from the Co-op, Garry went to work part-time at TransCanada Pipelines and Sharpe’s Soil Services until he developed meningitis in December 2018 and could no longer work.
He loved his family and took great pride in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved maintaining the yard, flower gardens and trees, and doing some woodworking on the side.
Garry will be greatly missed by his wife Linda, daughter Leanne (Ernest) Rushton and their children Madalyn (Orrin Williamson), Seth, and Macy; son Rodney Budd and his son Grady; daughter Natasha Devloo (James Laderoute) and her children Chace and Molly and step-daughter Kayla Devloo, great-grandchildren: Brinley and Ezrah Williamson and Luke Devloo; sister Connie Boulous, brothers Lyle (Julie), Curtis (Sandy), Blaine, Walter (Karen), and Floyd (Koriena) Budd; mother-in-law Kathleen Rogers; sister-in-law Edessa (Tyler) Markusson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Garry was pre-deceased by his father Alvin Budd, mother Margaret Budd, father-in-law Edward Rogers, sister-in-law Barbara Budd, sister-in-law Joanne Budd, brother-in-law Bill Sturgis, and nephew Joey Budd.
For those who so desire, memorial tributes in memory of Garry may be made to Moosomin and District Health Care Foundation for the CT Scanner Fund or the Rocanville Swimming Pool project.
