With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Deborah Ann Williamson on June 4, 2024 at the age of 69 years.

Debbie was predeceased by her beloved son Jarvis Williamson, her mother Sena Crawford, her birth father Donald Currie and her adoptive father George Crawford.

Debbie has left behind her daughter Denise (Mark) Kruppi, her grandchildren Brooklyn and Nolan Kruppi, ex-husband Gary Williamson, her sisters Darlene (Glen) Crellin, Jona (Vernon) Palmer, and her brother Geoffrey Crawford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Debbie was a Saskatchewan girl, growing up in Wapella, Regina, and Rocanville…later making her home in Winnipeg.

Her friends and family always said that Debbie was strong willed and stubborn at times, but she had this enormous heart and was constantly helping people in need through her countless hours of volunteering. She had always told us that others were there for her during her life’s struggles and by helping out at Foodbanks, MCC and Arts Junction, it was her way of paying it forward.
Debbie also volunteered as program-coordinator for her apartment block.

During the five years that Debbie lived at Lion’s Place, Deb worked tirelessly to bring entertainment and celebrations to the residents. Her new friends at Lion’s Place were a blessing in all aspects of her life.

Crafting was Debbie’s saviour. Her hobbies helped to fill her days. Every one of her beautiful cross stitch pictures and unique handmade quilts were such a source of pride for her. They were perfect in every way and totally made with love.

Debbie donated many of her quilts to Manitoba CancerCare Children’s Unit, with hopes that they could bring comfort to a child’s struggles.

Debbie will be remembered fondly for the huge heart she shared with her friends, family and even total strangers. She will be forever missed. Till we meet again.

At Debbie’s request, a private family service will be held at a later date.
Very special thanks to the staff and volunteers of Jocelyn House Hospice. Your love and compassion was second to none. We so appreciate all you did for Debbie during her end of life journey.

For those wishing to pay tribute to Debbie, donations can be made to Jocelyn House Hospice, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
