Roy Oswald Lonseth, late of Humboldt, Saskatchewan, and formerly of Calgary, Alberta, and Rocanville, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, at the age of 95 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Josephine (nee Hanson), his wife Wilma (nee Webster), and his second wife Frances Alford (nee Puffalt). He was also predeceased by his daughter Julie McDermit.
He is survived by his daughter Sherrie (Dave) Gullacher, and their children Annah (Jarrett) Merasty, Chelsea (Kyle) Nadiger, Nathan; son-in-law, Dale McDermit (Colleen), and their family Rob (Holly), Adam (Cody), John, Robert; son Dale (Darlene) and their children Eric (Taylor), Scott (Mataya), Andrew (McKayla), Chris (Maya); and daughter Linda.
He is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Eli Nadiger, Anya Nadiger, Sophia Lonseth (Eric), Luna Lonseth (Andrew) and Jack (Chris); stepdaughters Sandi (Greg) Chamberlain, and their daughters Raquel (Kysun) Jeung (and daughter Frankie) and Megan; and Shelley (Doug) Lapp, and their family Evan and Erin.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 7-8:30 pm at Carscadden Funeral Chapel, Moosomin, Saskatchewan.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 10:30 am at Rocanville Nutrien Hall, Rocanville, Saskatchewan. Interment will follow in the Webster Cemetery.
