On September 11, 2025, Margaret Rose (Shearer) Ridgway passed away peacefully at the age of 94 years, surrounded by her loving family. Left to cherish and honor her life are her five children: Dianne (Ron), David (Debbie), Edward (Julie), Kenneth (Anne), and Joan. 13 grandchildren: Tricia, Micheal, Amy (Murray), Leighanne, Katie (Dylan), Angela (Craig), Joanne, Rhonda (Wayne), Jennifer (Matt), Cameron (Ashley), Kristy (Devon), San and Alyx, as well as 27 great-grandchildren.
Margaret Rose was born in Welwyn, Saskatchewan. She graduated from nursing school at St. Boniface hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, receiving the bedside nursing award. In December 1952 she married Clayton. They lived in Saskatoon, Theodore and later moved to Edmonton where Clayton practised Ophthalmology.
Margaret excelled as a hostess; she loved to cook, dance and knit.
Margaret known as “Honey” was a special grandma to all.
She took a special interest in each, showing that she truly cared, never missing an event that she could attend. Her strength, determination, spunk and kind-heartedness were always in the forefront. She fostered a strong line of wonderful women and men. Honey can be proud her legacy lives on.
