Beryl Joyce Goodman (nee Wilson), late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the age of 94 years.
Beryl was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Ken; parents David and Della Wilson; sisters Sheila and Irma; sons-in-law Dave and Tony; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Beryl is survived by her three daughters, Goldene Mills (Eloise), Gloria Eskdale, and Sandra Goodman-Chartier; brother Glen; sisters-in-law Lois and Lillian; former son-in-law David; grandchildren Derrick, Kim, Tyler (Lauren), McKenzie, Brendan (Camille), and Brittony (Ben); and eight great-grandchildren.
Beryl was born Dec 19, 1930 on the family farm in Carnoustie Saskatchewan to David and Della Wilson. When she arrived, the family consisted of two older sisters, Irma and Sheila, with brother Glen arriving five years later.
Beryl attended high school in Rocanville, where she boarded and met her future husband, Ken.
Following Grade 12, Beryl worked in the Toronto Dominion Bank in Rocanville and Kipling, SK.
Beryl and Ken were married on July 23, 1952 in Rocanville.
Beryl was a proud homemaker and prided herself on providing great meals, baking and keeping a lovely home. She was an avid gardener and knew the best type of flowers to plant for any particular yard location.
Beryl also loved doing her crossword puzzles and reading the Bible and daily devotionals until her eyesight deteriorated from Macular Degeneration. She also took an interest in genealogy in later years and was especially proud of her Scottish heritage.
Beryl and Ken spent the majority of their married life in Rocanville, moving to Moosomin to be closer to doctors and other services. As Ken’s health further declined, they moved to Broadway Terrace in Regina in 2004. After Ken’s death in 2005, Beryl downsized with a move to a one bedroom suite but continued to make most of her meals, bake, and do her laundry up until January of this year. This past year Beryl encountered several health struggles necessitating a move to Trinity Manor where she resided until her passing.
Beryl was a classy, graceful woman always wanting to look her best. She was the quintessential wife and mother of the 50’s, her desire in life to marry and raise a family. A job she did with excellence. Beryl also supported Ken in his business and civic duties.
Beryl had a strong faith and her love and support for her family was constant. She was proud of her 3 daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren and their accomplishments. Beryl enjoyed being a grandmother.
