With great sadness we remember the passing of Joan Thelma Fisk on August 8, 2025 at the age of 74 in Regina General Hospital with family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of Dennis Fisk of 54 years and the loving mother of Janine Vincent (Curtis) of High River, Alberta, Jeffery Fisk (Candice) of Kelso, Sask. and Pamela Wagemakers (Nathan) of Calgary, Alberta.

She was a grandmother to Brittany Hall (Brayden), MacKenzey Fisk (Kylee), Wyatt Fisk (Claudia), Adam Schlosser (Britteny), Megan Schlosser and Maverick Wagemakers.

She was a Great-Grandma to Colt and Jed Hall and Archer Fisk.

She is survived by her two sisters Sharon Wadsworth (Herman) of Victoria and Kay Steele of Lethbridge, three sister in-laws Audrey (Bob) Moran of Moosmin, Darlene Fisk (Tim) of Wolsely and Jean Lawson (Ron) of Edmonton, and many nieces and nephews.

Joan was predeceased by her parents Thelma and Walter (Bud) Pleckham of Wawota, mother-in-law and father-in-law Ann and Cliff Fisk of Kelso and brothers-in-law Orvil Fisk, Wayne Johnson, Gordon Degelman and George Wadsworth.

Joan was born in Wawota on March 3, 1951. She went to school at Glen Adelaide, a rural school on her parents’ farm, and Wawota. After graduating she worked as a telephone operator in Moosomin. On July 10, 1971 she married Dennis and lived on the family farm the rest of her life.

Joan was a true farm wife with a big garden, raised chickens, drove the tractor in the field and hauled the grain from the combine all while raising her children.

Joan enjoyed hunting and fishing plus her birds with two purple martin houses in the yard always full, hummingbirds at the windows, the wren that nested just a few feet from the house and chickadees in the winter.

A big thank you to all for your thoughts and support these past few years. Joan will be sadly missed and loved by her family.
