
Ruth Esther McDougall passed away in the early hours of March 14, 2014, just two days before her 89th birthday.
She was predeceased by her husband Bob (January 2013) and eldest son Alvin (May 2012). She was also predeceased by her parents Andrew and Josephine Lonseth, stepmother Edith, brother Palmer (Clara) Lonseth, brother Alvin (Ruth) Lonseth, sister-in-law Wilma Lonseth, Bob’s family, father Neil (Mamie), stepmother Mable, sister-in-law Norma (Willie), brothers Hugh (Ivy), Roy (Joyce), and Bill.
Left to cherish many fond memories of Ruth is her loving family, daughter-in-law Anne (John), three sons, Ron (Yvonne), Terry (Peta) and Loren (Sheila), as well as her siblings, Roy (Fran) and Gladys (George), in-laws Melvin (Jean) and Don (Elsie) and sister-in-law Dell. She also leaves grandchildren Sarah, Robert, Carla (Derek), Neil (Ashley), Tyson, Todd, Hailey, Erica (Riley), Vinessa (Ben), Amanda (Jay), Kenton, Tamara and Shane as well as 11 great-grandchildren and a great many friends.
Ruth was born March 16, 1925 at Dinsmore, Sask. In her early teens, Ruth made a choice to serve God, and keeping true to those convictions, filled her life with a real joy and peace to the very end.
On July 12, 1949 she married Bob McDougall of Vandura, Sask. and for the next 62-and-a-half years they enjoyed living on the farm, raising their family amongst many friends. In the fall of 2011 they sold their house, and moved to Moosomin, Sask. where she lived, until Bob’s passing.
In January, 2014, Ruth moved temporarily to Regina area, where she lived with family while doctoring for cancer.
