
Gordon Dennis Giegle of Rocanville passed away on November 26, 2013 at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife Shirley and daughter Margaret (Lance Klassen).
He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Elsie.
Dennis was born at Empress, Alta. and grew up at Burstall, Sask. Upon graduating from high school, he began his career as a rural municipal administrator for the RM of Deer Forks.
Dennis graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1961 with a Certificate in Local Government Administration. In 1962 he became the administrator of the RM of Rocanville until his retirement in 2000.
Dennis loved to play sports, especially curling, golf and, in his younger years, baseball. He was an avid Roughriders and Blue Jays fan. Even his volunteer activities were sports related, from coaching little league softball to helping out at the curling rink or golf course.
Funeral service was held at G.R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel on December 2, 2013 with Reverend Delta Kelly officiating.
