
Iris Fisk passed on August 28, 2014. Iris is survived by her husband Garnet Fisk; children Sharon Williams, Gordon Fisk (Linda), Garth Fisk (Audrey), Rodney Fisk (Alfa); 14 grandchildren, Jason, Carey; Arvelle, Crystal, Jocelyn; Travis, Austin, Cora Lee; Branden, Evan, Raelyn, Dusty, Semin, Adina; seven great-grandchildren, Karter; Zayn, Charlie; Dane, Zeke, Cole; and Nash; her siblings Edna Fisk (Keith), Marion Mannle (Frank), Bob Moran (Audrey), Fay McKinnon (Neil), Roger Moran (Alby), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Iris was predeceased by her daughter Vicky Fisk and brother Gerald Moran.
Pall bearers were Travis Fisk, Austin Fisk, Evan Fisk, Branden Fisk, Jason Williams, and Mike Spurr. Jason Williams and Arvelle Fisk made the tribute to their gramma.
Iris belonged to the Fairmede Ag Society for many years. Garnet and Iris were awarded the Clark Lewis Award in recognition for their contribution to the Fairmede 4-H Beef Club.
Iris was always busy baking, cooking, running meals to the field, and mending by hand. She always had a huge garden. She loved to can. There was never a shortage of home-baked goods when her family came home.
Funeral service was held September 3, 2014 at the Bethel United Church.
