On November 1, we said goodbye to Joy McIsaac (nee Edmonds), wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and avid bingo player.

Joy (and her twin brother Roy) were the second youngest of seven children. She received her education at McNaught School and Maryfield High School.

After graduation, she moved to Regina, and worked in the provincial library until she met and married her husband Arnold in 1962. Arnold’s job as a Civil Engineer took them to Brandon, Dauphin, Winnipeg, Vancouver, and finally Edmonton. Joy worked at various jobs as they moved from city to city while raising their three children.

She was predeceased by her parents Bertha and Ernie Edmonds, her husband, Arnold, brother William (Bill) Edmonds of Virden, Man., sister Patricia Harrison of Manitou Beach, Sask., and brother-in-law Barry French of Regina, Sask.

Joy is survived by her three children, William (Corinne), Cindy, and Scott (Roxanne). She also leaves behind her brother Hugh (Florence) Edmonds of Maryfield, Sask., sister Alice (Doug) Barss of Regina, Sask., brother Roy (Mabel) of Armstrong, B.C., sister, Roberta French of Regina, Sask., sister-in-law Lynda Edmonds of Virden, Man., and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2 p.m. with luncheon and friendship to follow at the Senior Harmony Centre in Maryfield, Sask.

Friends wishing to make a donation in memory of Joy should make it to the charity of their choice.
