
Marg passed away peacefully at the South East Integrated Care Centre after a strong and courageous battle with breast cancer.
Marg was born in Regina to John and Margaret Kydd and she lived most of her childhood in Wolseley, graduating from high school in 1953. She went on to the RGH School of Nursing and graduated from there in 1956.
Her first job was in Moosomin and she remained nursing there for 43 years. It was in Moosomin she met Don and they were married June 30, 1959, 55 years ago.
Marg was an avid Rider fan starting back in the ‘50s. She loved to golf, travel and watch her family in many sports, especially seeing her grandson Devon captain the Yorkton Terriers to win the RBC Cup in Vernon, B.C. in May.
Marg leaves behind her surviving family of Don, Bruce (Donna), Patti (Peter), Wayne (Arvelle) and Cameron; grandchildren Jamie (Tessa), Kayla (Jake), Devon (Karissa), Justiss, Sydney, Amy, Brooklynn, Braden and Britten; great-grandchilren Elle, Zoé and Zander; brothers Pat (Carol) Kydd, Graham (Gail) Kydd and Richard (Yvonne) Kydd; in-laws Jim Coulter, Marion (Gerry) Powers, Elaine (Jerry) Jamieson, Jessie (Keray) Wholly, Heather (Barry) Shapcott and Leona Hogg.
Marg’s funeral was held on October 18, 2014 at the Bethel United Church, to which donations can be made in her memory.
