
Inez Adelaine Knuttila passed away on January 8, 2016 at age 92.
Inez was born and raised on a farm near Buchanan, Sask. on March 9, 1923. After finishing high school in Buchanan, she attended Business College in Saskatoon where she worked until her marriage to Leonard Albert Knuttila on Sept 9, 1950. After several moves, they settled in Moose Jaw in 1958.
Inez was very active in the community, especially in Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She directed the Junior Choir, was a member of both the Senior Choir and the LWML for many years, and supported missionary projects such as LAMP (Lutheran Association of Missionary Pilots).
Inez was predeceased by husband Leonard on September 18, 1996. She is survived by her brother Allan Dalshaug and sister Doris Borycki; daughters: Lynne Paul (Maurice), and Sandra Latimer (Robert), sons Kim Knuttila (Joy Schiffner), and Brent Knuttila (Elaine); 10 grandchildren: Jennifer Paul Vander Ploeg (Nicholas), and Eva Paul; Justin Latimer (Laura Robertson), and Julian Latimer (Miriam); Maria, Samantha and Amanda Knuttila; Corey Santa (Crystal), Sheldon Santa (Chantelle), and Trevor Santa (Ashley); 10 great-grandchildren, Jamie, Toby, and Lucas Latimer; Dekota, Austin, and Justyce Lonechild; Rorey, and Kirysma Santa; Alexxis and Jaxxon Santa.
The Funeral Service was held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Wednesday January 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. Reverend Irwin Pudrycki officiated. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.
