
Brian Bernard Petays, 67, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 while at the Cardiac Care Unit of the Regina General Hospital. Brian was born on Nov. 27, 1945 to Bernard and Agnes (Knuttila) Petays in Whitewood, the youngest of two children.
After farming for many years, Brian began working with the town of Rocanville in 1987 before retiring in 2010. Brian loved to spend time with his family, and was actively involved in carpentry, woodworking and WWII history.
Brian is survived by his wife Linda; daughter Lisa; son Darren; sister Gaylene Lange and her family, Perry (Vivian) Lange, Sherry Galandie, Shelly Stadnyk and their families; sister-in-law Irene Hilts; aunts Inez Knuttila and Alice Knuttila; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to sincerely thank all of the medical professionals at the Moosomin Family Practice, Moosomin hospital and the CCU of the Regina General Hospital for their wonderful care. As well, a genuine thanks goes to the Carscadden Funeral Home, Reverends Delta Kelly and Wilma Woods and the New Finland Lutheran Church for all of the support and service.
