Duane Alexander Smith of Regina, born in Wapella on March 31, 1936, passed away peacefully from cancer at the Pasqua Hospital on May 28, 2013 at 77 years of age.
Duane was predeceased by his parents Godfrey and Anna Smith of Kennedy; his brother Allan and son-in-law Rob Westin.
He is survived by his loving wife Lorraine; daughter Dori Westin (Brad Insel), Charlynn, Jaysie (Kani Johnson) and great-grand daughter, Danica; daughter Sharon (Fred) Langenberger, Shay, Sara, Skyler; daughter, Carrie (Scott) Hutten, MacKenzie and Riley; sisters Shirley (Elden) Davis, Joyce (George) Easton and numerous nieces and nephews.
We are diminished by his loss but find peace knowing he is in a better place. A celebration of Duane's life was held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Zion United Church, 120 Broad St., Regina.
