
Loreen passed away peacefully in hospital in Stony Plain, Alberta on October 30, 2017 following a short illness.
Born in Wapella, Sask. to Edward and Mabel Carscadden, she attended Wapella schools but spent most of her adult years in Edmonton where she married and raised her family. Later she spent several years as manager of Coles Book Store in Edmonton.
Following the passing of her husband Allen Parrott, Loreen relocated to Onoway, Alberta where she enjoyed her garden and the numerous songbirds which came all year to her feeders. She also volunteered as dispatcher for the Onoway Fire Department.
Predeceased by husband Allen in 1993 and son-in-law Karl Umstatter in 2005.
Loreen is survived and sadly missed by her family, sons Barry Parrott of Onoway and Bob (Joanne) Parrott of Edmonton; daughter Darlene Umstatter of Edmonton; brother Ken Carscadden of Stony Plain; grandchildren Erich and Karl Umstatter, Lindsey and Mark Parrott, and great-grandson Ethan all of Edmonton. Also survived by her aunt Doris (John) Riedweg of Langley, BC., and several cousins in Saskatchewan and Victoria, B.C.
A graveside service was held on November 7, 2017 in Edmonton.
