
August 3, 1925 in Lubiaszon, Poland and passed away peacefully with family by her side on June 25, 2013 at the age of 87 years.
She was the second eldest of five children born to Samuel and Emma Ablass. Linda was two years old when she left Poland in June of 1927 to immigrate to Canada on the ship Montinorn, and settled in the Trafford District.
Linda and Kurt were neighbors growing up and later married in April of 1944 and moved to the old Schmidt farm. They later moved to Red Jacket where they raised five children. They farmed till the spring of 1977 and then moved to Wapella.
Linda was predeceased by her husband Kurt; son Lawrence; mother Emma; father Samuel; brothers Otto, Albert, infant brother Rudolph, son-in-law Les Tindall, grandson-in-law Kyle, great-grandson Kian and by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and cousins.
Linda is survived by her children: Leonard (Penny), Diane (Ron), Debbie (Darcy) and Carol (Herb); daughter-in-law Shari (Ralph); sister Freda; sister-in-law Fredia; and 13 grandchildren: Trevor (Cheryl), Trent (Jody), Tracey (Dale), Troy (Arla), Bruce (Lyndarae), Kevin (Shawna), Shawna (Jim), Tera (Ardelle), Kim (Steve), Melissa, Jeremie, Kody and Teresa (Jason); 20 great-grandchildren, three extended grandchildren 16 extended great-grandchildren, two extended great-great-grandchildren and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
