
Elizabeth M. Kaplun, formerly of Rocanville, passed away on Dec. 31, 2012 at the Whitewood Community Health Centre, Whitewood, in her 93rd year.
She was predeceased by her husband Barney, brother James Gunn, sister-in-law Jean Gunn, brother-in-law Doug Irvine.
Betty is lovingly remembered by her son Richard (Eileen) Kaplun, daughters Gail (Trevor) Goodman and Naomi (Dan) Kral; grandchildren William (Chris) Kaplun, Patricia (Mark) Ciarciaglini, Shawn (Debbie) Logan, Justin (Terri) Logan, Darcy (Kristen) Kral, Devin (Kayla Wells) Goodman, Tanille (Rob) Wilson; great-grandchildren Mason Kaplun, Shelby Gerock, Renee and Amelia Ciarciaglini, Garrett Baseley and Connor Logan, Kyle and Sierra Logan, Aiden and Kaela Kral, Madison and Jaxx Goodman, Prestyn and Ethan Wilson; one sister Pearl Irvine of Esterhazy and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom taught school for many years. After retirement she traveled the world. She was involved in the community as a volunteer with various organizations. Mom was very proud of her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held from St. Paul's United Church, Rocanville, on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Dawn Wilson officiating. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Moosomin.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Rocanville Parks and Recreation Board or to a charity of your choice.
