
Alex was born and raised on the family farm at MacNutt, Saskatchewan. He farmed with his wife from 1954-2001 at Wapella, Saskatchewan.
Alex was predeceased by his parents Paul and Dora, in-laws Rudolph and Wanda Schmidt and John and Laurel Hamilton. His siblings Ella (George), Mary (Charlie), George (Mary), Lena (Rusty), Caroline (Harry), Nick, Jim, Peter (Rose), John (Mary) and infant brother at birth, by Olga’s siblings Gertrude (Maurice), Adaline (Hugh), Ron (Cora, Mary) Oscar, Ewald (Irene) and Bruce.
Alex remarried January 28, 2003. He leaves to mourn his wife Brenda, sons Alvin (Laurie), Dwayne (Verna) and Garry (Violet) stepchildren Michael, Chantal (Luke), Andrew (Jessie) and chosen son Landon; his grandchildren Kylee, Jayme, Kristel, Miranda, Karen, Andrew, Randy, Melissa, Katrina, Kayla, Jessica, Anabella, Jeremie, Tristan, Christian, Nicholas, Craig, Kaleb and Katy, James and Chyanne, Joe and Rose; his great-grandchildren Kade, Kristopher, Maylee, Braxen, John, Isaac, Andy, Geoff, Cole, Peyton, Sophie, Lindon, Kieran, Kassidy Nika and Trojka; his great-great-grandchildren Parker, Blake and Kalliope. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Eric, Kenney (Doreen), Henry (Gaylene), Jim (Velma), Mervin, Laureen, Muriel (James), Beryl, sister-niece Ann and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Will be missed by friends and family.
