The town of Moosomin will see an election for mayor this year, with current mayor Larry Tomlinson, and councillor and Economic Development Committee chair Murray Gray both having submitted their nominations for mayor.

Tomlinson has served as mayor for 11 years and served on council before that. Gray has been on council for eight years.

Municipal and school board elections are slated for Wednesday, November 13 in Saskatchewan, following the provincial election on October 28.

All mayor and councillor positions are open for election in towns and villages this year, all school board positions are open for election, and all reeve positions and odd-numbered councillor positions are open for election in rural municipalities. All of the elected positions are for four-year terms.

The deadline for nominations for all positions open this fall is Wednesday, October 9.
