The Redvers Adult Drama Club is back from an eight-year hiatus with the theatrical production “The Day Black Bart Balderdash and Dangerous Dan McGrew went to dueling at Miss Kitty’s Golden Nugget Saloon.”

Director Gwen Arthur explains, “We decided to give it a try this year, and after an organizational meeting in January found we had enough volunteers to run a full production. We know from past experiences that there is a great interest in live theater, and we really wanted to bring that back to the community.

“Live theatre offers a truly unique experience and seeing your neighbors and friends take to the stage creates a sense of connection and really adds to the fun atmosphere.”

The farce involves two outlaws that plan to duel at Miss Kitty’s Golden Nugget Saloon but get tangled in the town’s bureaucratic red tape and hilarious mishaps. Each character stands out with their own distinct charm and wit and brings a lot of variety and laughs to the story line.

The production will run November 14 and 15 at the Redvers and District Recreation Centre Curling Rink. Donations will be made to the Redvers Fire and Rescue Department and the Carlyle Food Bank.
